Opening and welcome

In this session, you will see the event's opening and introduction by Nik Winchester, Senior Lecturer in Management in the Department for Public Leadership and Social Enterprise at The Open University and Carol Jacklin-Jarvis, Director of the Centre for Voluntary Sector Leadership at The Open University.

Beyond the Open Door

This session explored inclusive leadership and collaboration. It was hosted by Siv Vangen, Head of the OU Business School in conversation with Fidele Mutwarasibo, Lecturer in Work Based Learning, The Open University and Ian Revell, CEO, Milton Keynes Community Foundation.

Meet our PhD students

In this session, you will meet Sally Vivyan and Gavin Myers, PhD students in the Centre for Voluntary Sector Leadership. They provided 3-minute 'elevator style' pitches, sharing the details of their current research.

Keynote speech with Dame Sara Llewellin

We were delighted to be joined by Dame Sara Llewellin, Chief Executive of the Barrow Cadbury Trust who spoke to guests about 'Leadership in Changing Times'. We apologise for the slight audio feedback you will hear during the Q&A session.

Longer-term local leadership

In this session, Daniel Haslam from the Centre for Voluntary Sector Leadership at the OU spoke to Stella Scott, CEO of Erewash Voluntary Action, about longer-term local leadership.

In this session, you will hear from Liz Moody, Director of Executive Education at The Open University. Liz kindly joined us to outline how The Open University supports the professional development of staff.
