Jacqui Gabb, Professor of Sociology and Intimacy, provides comment on an article looking at high-profile divorces in 'Silicon Valley'.
Professor Gabb said "When one half of a couple becomes rich and powerful, it inevitably alters the dynamics of a relationship. Where there's been huge success, I mean colossal success, [it] really puts stress on the relationship horizon. All relationships have a past, present and future.
"If there's been such a seismic change that the present is so different from the past and the future is always something that you're chasing, then it's hard to keep a full interest in the present or to remember the past as much as one would like to.' Evening Standard
