The Capability Approach to Human Development

First year PhD students at The Open University are invited to the fourth in a series of five seminars that invite them to think about the application of theory to research in the field of international development.

The seminars will examine a selection of current debates in development and encourage students to consider how they might apply the theoretical perspectives discussed to their own research.

The Capability Approach to Human Development will be presented by Lecturer in Economics Cristina Santos and Alison Buckler, a Research Fellow in the School of Education, Childhood, Youth and Sport.
