Westlaw and Google Chrome

It is possible that the Westlaw database will return a 'Server Error in '/OpenAthens' Application' message when accessed through the Google Chrome web browser.

Please try accessing Westlaw through an alternative browser such as Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, or Safari.

Microsoft outage disruption

Unfortunately the Microsoft outage which has impacted many systems globally is causing disruption to some of our e-resources such as Ebook Central which is one of our main ebook platforms.

Access to Britannica Image Quest and Encyclopaedia Britannica not working

There is currently a problem with our access to the Britannica Image Quest and Encyclopaedia Britannica databases.

We are working with the supplier to resolve this as soon as possible, at the moment there is no alternative method of access.

We will update this page with any updates to our access but at the moment we unfortunately do not have a timescale for when this will be resolved.

We apologise for any inconvenience that this issue has caused.
