Library building closed, PGR induction unaffected

There has been a power outage on The Open University's Walton Hall Campus this morning. Power is partially restored, but the library building will remain closed until further notice. Please check back here for confirmation when the building opens.
The PGR induction event due to take place in the Library building today will go ahead.

On Campus Power Outage - Helpdesk Phones Unavailable

Power has now been restored (15th Aug 2023, 11:58)

We are currently experiencing a power cut which is impacting the Milton Keynes OU campus. Library Helpdesk Webchat will not be impacted, however phone lines are currently unavailable. We will share further updates soon and apologise for any inconvenience caused by this issue.

Issues accessing referencing guidance on Cite Them Right

We are aware that there is currently an issue with the Cite Them Right database - users are being presented with a "subscription required" message when trying to access guidance via the 'Choose referencing style' or 'Browse categories' menus.

We have reported this issue to the provider and will update this message as soon as we know more.

To access referencing guidance while this issue in ongoing, you can use the search bar to look for templates by name (e.g. Book chapter) and then filter the results by the relevant referencing style (e.g. Harvard).
