This journey takes you to vibrant cities where cultures have intertwined for centuries, at a time of year when crowds are fewer and there’s still a touch of winter warmth.

Culture lovers will relish the opportunity to join a tour of the Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and enjoy an overnight stay in Istanbul, allowing ample time to admire the architectural masterpieces of Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace. Bustling markets offer a window into local life, from Limassol’s flea and farmers markets, rich in Cypriot traditions, to Istanbul’s iconic Grand Bazaar and lesser-known Marmaris’ traditional Turkish market, each brimming with handcrafted goods, spices and local delicacies.

Booking and Payment

Payment for the cruise will be made directly to Fred Olsen.

Before booking, please consider the following:

• Go to the Fred Olsen website and have a look at the different cabin options and prices
  • Similar cabins have different prices, these are usually dependant on the size of the cabin or which deck it is on e.g. "Superior" cabins are usually on a higher deck.
• Have a look at the Balmoral Deck plan to get an idea of where cabins are on the ship.
• There are free drinks with lunch and dinner, these are normally house wine, draught beer and non-alcoholic drinks anything else will have to be paid for
  • You have an option to purchase a drinks package for £40 per person per day; this includes a wider choice of drinks throughout the day without using your on board account.
  • Have a look at drink prices to see if you would want the package 
• There is wifi on board ship but you have to pay to use it. The cost for 10 days is £90 per person at the moment, it may change before we set sail.
  • Most ports and most places we will visit will have pretty good mobile signals so consider that before buying a wifi package, you can pay for just one day but the price is £12.
• Cabin prices are likely to increase; Fred Olsen operate a policy of increasing prices when cabin grades are close to selling out.
• When you book you will be asked to pay a 15% deposit. The final balance will be due in August 2026.
• If you have sailed with Fred Olsen before and have Oceans Membership you will receive a further 5% discount.
