Hej ock välkommen! (Hello and welcome!)
Join OU Trips for a summer visit to beautiful Stockholm for 5 days of adevnture!
Day 1: We will be travelling from OU to London Heathrow via coach and will fly into Stockholm-Arlanda International Airport.
After arriving in Stockholm-Arlanda International Airport we will transfer to Gamla Stan and the Scandic Hotel Gamla Stan. Narrow alleyways, taverns, cafes, shops and closeness to the seats of power of the Swedish Parliament, civil service headquarters and Royal Palace, make a stay in Gamla Stan (the Old Town) a fantastic experience.
Scandic Hotel Gamla Stan is located in a charming 17th-century building, with Stockholm Cathedral, 'House of the Nobility' and Slussen just around the corner. With amazing roof terrace views and classic rooms (with en suite facilities), the hotels facilities also include a buffet breakfast, free WIFI and a 24h mini shop.
Afternoon arrival and hotel check-in (flight times TBC) will allow time at leisure for the rest of the day to explore Gamla Stan and find a suitable spot for dinner.

Day 2: After breakfast, we will take a short walk to the Royal Palace and enjoy a tour! We will ensure there is enough time to grab a quick lunch before being collected and transferred to the harbour. We will enjoy an afternoon boat trip to explore the Stockholm Archipelago and enjoy dinner on board. Stockholm's archipelago is vast and unique with its nearly 30,000 islands – with expansive waters and beautiful nature. On return to the harbour, we will be transferred back to our hotel.

Day 4: Today we will visit the 'Cambridge' of Sweden, Uppsala. Uppsala is Sweden's fourth-largest city, and weaves a tapestry of history and innovation. From Iron Age relics to Viking lore, its past is alive in ancient burial grounds and awe-inspiring architecture. But Uppsala isn't just about yesterday – it's a vibrant hub of sustainability and life sciences, shaping tomorrow's world. After breakfast we will be transferred to Stockholm Central station to meet the train to Uppsala. In Uppsala, we will be able to spend time at leisure, before enjoying a true travel experience by steam train, railcar, and vintage bus along one of Sweden's most beautiful rail routes – the Upsala-Lenna Heritage Railway. On the return to Uppsala, we will take the train back to Stockholm where we will be met and transferred to our hotel.
