Join OU Trips for a 3 night/4 day long weekend in the picturesque Lake District

With its charming lakes, lush forests and green, rolling countryside in between, the Lake District exhibits an extraordinary beauty and harmony. We will visit Sizergh, Kendal, Honister Slate Mine, Keswick, Grasmere, Bowness-on-Windermere and Coniston. There will also be some time to spend at your own leisure if prefer.

Staying at the Newby Bridge hotel at the tranquil southern end of the Lake Windermere with views across it. The hotel is situated within walking distance of Windermere Lake Cruises, The Aquarium of the Lakes, Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway and the Lakeland Motor Museum.

Day 1 - Travel from OU with a comfort stop en-route, to arrive at Sizergh in the afternoon. Sizergh is National Trust so free for members, non-members can pay entrance on the day, or spend some time in Kendal.
Day 2 - Honister Slate Mine, including 2 course lunch. Option to spend some time in Keswick if don't wish to take part in all planned activities.
Day 3 - Dove Cottage & Wordsworth Museum in the morning. Afternoon in Bowness-on-Windermere, or time back at the hotel.
Day 4 - Coniston Steam Yacht Gondola trip, then return to OU with comfort stop on the way.

*£659 per person sharing twin/double room if 20 people book

*£599 per person sharing twin/double room if 25 people book

*£559 per person sharing twin/double room if 30 people book

Twin/double for sole occupancy £60 per person

*Prices include the Mine tour, lunch (all to attend) and 'The Jump' (optional) at Honister Slate Mine (Day 2). There is the option to spend all day there, with a choice of other activities available to add on at a discounted group rate. Please complete your preferences on the form if wish to take advantage of this great offer and adrenaline rush!
