Join OUTrips at the Award Winning Warner Brothers Studios for The Making of Harry Potter tour.

The Harry Potter film series made Leavesden its home for more than ten years. As the books were still being released while the films were being made, the production crew saved many of the iconic sets, props and costumes that were created especially for the films – just in case they were ever needed later on in the series.

Once filming wrapped on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 in 2010, the production crew were left with a treasure trove of thousands of intricate and beautifully-made artefacts, many of which wouldn’t have been saved on a typical production.

The team behind Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter wanted to preserve and showcase these iconic props, costumes and sets so that Harry Potter fans could experience the magic of filmmaking first-hand. Many of the original cast and crew returned to reassemble the sets and record their memories from filming, and on 31st March 2012, the Studio Tour opened its doors.

Set adjacent to the working film studios where all eight Harry Potter films were made, the Studio Tour offers visitors the unique opportunity to explore two soundstages and a backlot filled with original sets, animatronic creatures and breathtaking special effects.

Price for entry into the Studios tour at 10.30:

• £49.50 Adult 
• £38.50 Child (under 16)
• Infant under 4 requires a ticket but is free.

Coach to the Harry Potter studios - we are waiting to hear on whether we have been awarded OU Club subsidy funds to allow us to subsidise the coaches - so the coach will cost a max of £14 per person (who requires a seat) on top of the above price.

Dates and Times

• Sunday 4th June 2023 - Leave the OU approx 08.30 TBC and travel by coach to Warner Bros Studios in Leavesdon
• Enter into the studio tour at 10.30
• Depart to return to OU at 15.30 approx.

AFTERNOON TEA AT WARNER BROS. STUDIO TOUR LONDON - £70 for 2 people.

Creatively designed and beautifully crafted by our talented pastry chefs, Afternoon Tea at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London features an array of indulgent sweets, savoury treats, and delectably delicious baked scones, served with an assortment of loose-leaf teas. You can also add some sparkle to the occasion and upgrade your Afternoon Tea to include a glass of champagne.

Afternoon Tea at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London is available as an add-on when purchasing your Studio Tour tickets and cannot be booked separately. Dine underneath the enchanted ceiling in our Food Hall, before or after your tour. Each table is allocated a 90 minute timeslot. So please be aware this will reduce your time on the tour.
