Bang Goes DG 2023

In May 2023, Julia Semprich, Claire Batty and Hannah Cooper set off to Dumfries and Galloway to take part in Bang Goes DG 2023.

The event is for Scottish school students and aims to not only inform young people about what Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) subjects are and how these are involved in numerous sectors, but also to showcase the many opportunities to work in those subjects.

The students engaged in hands-on activities to demonstrate the study of biosigniatures and digital microscopes to investigate rock samples, such as those that might be found on Mars.

The event was a great success with nearly a thousand students exploring a whole range of STEM subject.
