Professor Smita Srinivas was the economics keynote speaker at the 31st Annual Conference of the European Association for Evolutionary Political Economy (EAEPE), Warsaw School of Economics, Sept 12-15 2019. Her address, entitled 'Development variety and the future of economics', included discussion of Innovation for Cancer Care in Africa. At the keynote and separately at the plenary and Ph.D. students panel, co-hosted by INET-YSI, she laid out her arguments for how and why development analysis in economics needed significant overhaul.
