A farm visit for newly arrived asylum mothers in Swansea

As lockdown started to wind down, a women’s support group in Swansea, Wales (UK), started beginning activities again for local asylum seekers and refugees. One of the organisers told us:

“For women, especially young single mothers who had been dispersed to Swansea during the last year, it had been very difficult to make friends or go anywhere. So, we organised a small week day trip to the community farm for a few of those women. We all had a great time and a couple of the women were very keen to go again – and to tell others about the farm. After the event we gathered some comments and photographs and made this video – a small bright time after feeling trapped at home and isolated for so long.”
