Professor Umut Erel from The Open University (UK) discusses her theatre-based methods shown in the film “Black Women Act” – a provocative challenge to the UK government’s No Recourse to Public Funds policy.

On International Women’s Day 2021 we celebrated Umut Erel’s important research with women from black and minority ethnic backgrounds. In this interview, Umut explains how using arts-based, theatre methods, she co-creates new knowledge with women in order to challenge the No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) policy.
