Horizons in STEM HE Network Event April 2025

Networking/Speed Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) session

This is a free online session that will provide an opportunity for attendees to introduce themselves and their areas of interest regarding Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) to a broad range of colleagues from different STEM disciplines and institutions. This will hopefully initiate some collaboration on SoTL across institutions and disciplines and hence enhance the impact of individuals’ SoTL.

Initially, all attendees will arrive in the main room using the link provided by AdvanceHE Connect (further details provided below). We will then randomly allocate you into a breakout room with two or three other attendees, where you can introduce yourself and talk about your areas of interest/experience. After 15 minutes all groups will return to the main room and be reallocated into different random groups for the next 15 minutes (and so on). By the end of the session, we hope you will have had the chance to get to know (or know better) several other members of the network and have insight into what they do.
