Centre for Scholarship and Innovation
Friday 10th December 2010, 14:30 - 15:30, Meeting Room 8, 1st Floor, East Perry.
eSTEeM, a joint Science and MCT Faculty initiative, is bringing together academics to develop new approaches to teaching and learning both within existing and new programmes. It builds on existing collaborations within the CETLs and with other Faculties.
eSTEeM’s manifesto has been shaped by strategic discussions with Faculty and University management and a self-audit that was completed by over 125 academics from both Faculties.
eSTEeM has built up a picture of existing and aspirational activity in the four eSTEeM priority areas of; employment, international, engagement and entrepreneurial; and has identified what expertise exists already that we can build on and harness in taking eSTEeM activities forward.
The Manifesto Launch will explicitly identify the project areas with which eSTEeM would like people to become involved and will also set out the process of dialogue and project planning from which supported projects will emerge.
A ‘wine down’ will follow the launch at 15.30 so come along and find out how to get involved and share a glass of wine with colleagues.
This event is open to OU staff. Please confirm your attendance by emailing your details to Diane Ford at esteem@open.ac.uk by 1st December 2010.
