The Open University in Scotland is proud to host 'Countdown to the European Lunar Symposium: Living on the Moon with Professor Mahesh Anand' at Kirkcudbright Dark Space Planetarium.

This June The Open University of Scotland will be gathering lunar scientists from across the world to Dumfries for The European Lunar Symposium.

Ahead of the Symposium itself we will be hosting the Chair of the European Lunar Symposium, Professor of Planetary Sciences & Exploration, Mahesh Anand, for a very special evening to discuss the latest developments in lunar science & exploration and the potential of a lunar settlement. We will also be displaying a collection of meteorites.

The European Lunar Symposium will be held from 16 - 21 June 2024, on Crichton Campus in Dumfries. If you would like to learn more about astronomy for free, head to OpenLearn for more information. There you can find courses such as The MoonGalaxies, stars and planetsand Astronomy with an online telescope.
