A Callander-based mum has been awarded a Professional Certificate in Accounting at The Open University Business School Student and Alumni Awards.
Joanna Page (pictured left) was recognised at the Business School’s recent annual award ceremony in Milton Keynes.
With over 19,000 students per year, in over 80 countries across the world, the awards celebrate the OU Business School’s highest achievers in their qualification from the past academic year.
Award winners are recognised for their academic excellence, alongside their commitment, dedication and unrivalled determination.
Joanna said, "The Open University Business School was able to offer me an excellent opportunity to study during the few hours a day that my youngest son attended nursery. Returning to study after at least 20 years was a very daunting prospect but the course structure and the support available, made it an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Course tutors were knowledgeable in their subject, offered good studying advice and were very positive and encouraging."

Professor Taylor said, "All of the winners have an exceptional story to tell about their life-changing learning experience and we are incredibly proud, as a Business School, to recognise their achievements and to celebrate the success of our vibrant and growing student and alumni communities.
"I wish all the winners my warmest congratulations on their achievements and every success for their future endeavours."
