On 25th February 2025, Kevin Collins gave an invited talk on systems thinking for an online event on Nature and Climate Change. His presentation - Systems Thinking and Practice: learning our way to sustainable futures - set out how Systems Thinking in Practice (STiP) can be used to imagine and develop better human-environment relationships. Using examples from his UK and international research in water governance and climate smart agriculture, Kevin described how STiP can be used to help diverse groups of stakeholders engage with complex situations and identify more sustainable practices and futures. The event, which was hosted by the pioneering environmental consultancy Dialogue Matters, was attended by over 100 practitioners and leaders from a variety of sectors and interests, exploring innovative thinking on land and seascape futures.
