Members of the Book Research group are research active and produce a wide range of peer-reviewed publications based on their own work, and that of the group. These include monographs, scholarly editions, anthologies, readers, edited collections, journal articles, encyclopaedia entries, book chapters, and digital disseminations. You can find out about some of the most important recent publications of the group here.
Several research group members have published their work in Palgrave Macmillan's New Directions in Book History series, which is co-edited by the Research Group Director, Dr Shafquat Towheed.
As seen in several recent publications, the research group is currently developing specialist expertise in the history of reading. Book History research group members also participate in a variety of external organisations, such as the Society for the History of Authorship, Reading and Publishing (SHARP) to promote scholarship in the history of the book and the aims of the group.
