Arts & Humanities

The Arts and Humanities shine a light on the human condition. We offer courses in Art History, Classical Studies, Creative Writing, English Literature, History and Music, plus qualifications that bring in English Language, Philosophy, Politics and Religious Studies

Psychology & Counselling

As the largest provider of university-level education in psychology, we offer undergraduate, postgraduate and research qualifications. We introduce our students to the topics and problems that currently interest psychologists; the investigative skills required for psychology research; and the fundamental conceptual and philosophical issues in psychology, demonstrating the different ways in which psychological knowledge can be constructed and applied.

Social Sciences & Global Studies

The School of Social Sciences and Global Studies at The Open University is a hub for disciplinary and interdisciplinary research and research-led teaching, bringing together Disciplines from the social sciences and humanities. This school covers Politics & International Studies, Economics, Sociology, Development, Geography, Philosophy, Social Policy & Criminology, and Religious Studies.
