This was a Carlisle People First Research Team oral history project, which was supported by our research group as well as other organisations. This inclusive research project was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and ran between 2006 and 2007. It recorded the memories of eight people with learning difficulties during the Second World War in Cumbria.
