In a recent insight project, you told us that recorded training sessions are the most effective way for you to learn library skills, followed by live sessions led by a librarian. With this in mind, we want to remind you about the Library’s training programme, which offers both live online sessions and recorded versions to support your learning.
These sessions provide essential guidance on library research, covering how to locate information for your assignments, navigate library databases, and reference sources accurately. Each session is recorded, so you can learn at your own pace, whenever it suits you. If you haven’t checked them out yet, now’s the perfect time!
Simply head to the Training and events page on the OU Library website. Once you’ve clicked on the session title you’re interested in, you’ll find a video recording further down the page, which is hosted on the Library’s YouTube channel. There’s also a section where you can download the session slides and accompanying handout, and online resources that provide additional information and guidance.
If you have any questions or need further support, the Library Helpdesk offers online help through our 24-hour chat service available 7 days a week.
