The Open University’s Belfast office is fully accessible.
Due to the fact that the office is housed in a listed building, we are unfortunately unable to make alterations to the original front door on Victoria Street, which includes the front steps, or to the main reception desk.
However, our May Street entrance is fully accessible with a wide automatic door leading to a wheelchair ramp and same level access into the reception area and student hub. If access is required on other levels of the building, there is an evacuation lift in place.
If you are planning on visiting our office and would like further information around accessibility on-site then please do contact our reception staff on 0044 028 9024 5025 or email ireland@open.ac.uk.
Our reception area has an induction loop installed. If you require a sign language interpreter, materials in an alternative format or other adjustments to access our resources, please notify us at least seven working days in advance. Every reasonable effort is made to provide reasonable accommodations for those requiring them.
If you’re interested in studying with The Open University but have concerns about specific aspects of studying because you have a disability or a long-term health condition then you can be reassured that the OU offers a comprehensive range of support and adjustments for disabled students.
