The members of the CIS research group have a wide range of interests that intersect with the group's core aim of critical interrogating informational and related phenomena. As a result the range of areas and projects members are and have been involved with, is similarly wide.

Currently ongoing research projects include

  • The Decolonising Computing eSTEeM-funded project, which aims to set out a vision and roadmap for what computing could – and arguably should – mean for computing educators at the Open University once decolonised.
  • The Tackling Inequality for Women in Sport project, which is looking at the issue of inequality in how injuries are managed in recreational sport.
