Ayubowan – SriLankan way of greeting

There is a big ‘no’ to traditional European greetings such as handshakes and hugs according to health guidance. Everyone is required to keep a 2-meter distance.

The SriLankan community was excited about seeing their traditional way of greeting, ‘Ayubowan’, adopted as it is very safe. Even the UK royal family members have been seen adapting Ayubowan.
