This oil pastel picture was created by Afghani refugee and feminist Sweeta Durrani for International Women’s Day. She entitled it “They Let Us Go and We Hugged Each Other Tighter” to demonstrate the love, and power of women’s networks of support both in Afghanistan and the UK – and also the world.
