This is an introductory session to explain some basics of quantitative methods for scholarship work. It will cover initial analysis planning, ideas of association and hypothesis testing, choosing what test to use, and presentation options. The session will contain a mixture of presentation and discussion.
Carol Calvert was a government statistician for many years and simultaneously an Associate Lecturer. Carol joined the OU Information Office in 2010 and from 2014, until recently, was a Staff Tutor for statistics. Carol is an applied statistician and has been involved in many scholarship projects.
