We are pleased to announce the following four projects to the eSTEeM portfolio:
Shailey Minocha,Tom Argles and Steve Tilling - Evaluation of The OpenScience Lab’s 3D Virtual Skiddaw application
Pam Budd - Gender Differences in completion and credit obtained in Level 2 study in Physical Sciences
Rachel Hilliam - Survey of Mathematics and Statistics Associate Lecturers for Athena SWAN silver status award
Elaine Thomas, Leonor Barroca, Helen Donelan. Karen Kear and Jon Rosewell - Using OpenStudio in STEM learning
Our sixth project call in June 2014 also invited expressions of interest from OU colleagues to form part of a project team researching in one of the following strategically important areas for the Science and MCT faculties:
These group projects are currently being refined and work by the teams will commence soon.
eSTEeM Co-Director Clem Herman commented “I am delighted that eSTEeM is continuing to expand our portfolio of projects, engaging even more of our MCT and Science academics in scholarship and research. With this new round of projects we have focussed closely on strategic priorities that faculties are facing in teaching and learning and we look forward to being able to contribute to a deeper understanding of some of these complex issues.”
