The study adopts a qualitative approach to determine academics’ experiences and perceptions of the Professorial Promotions process (PB1 only) within the Faculty of STEM, Open University. The findings will be circulated internally within the faculty, with other faculty promotions groups  (and with Athena Swan and Race Equality Charter SATs) to ensure current processes are equitable and to improve future support for Professorial promotion candidates.
