On 8th May 2025, E&I academics Theo Zamenopoulos, Vera Hale, and Katerina Alexiou co-hosted an event with The Glass-House Community Led Design and Historic England, bringing together national bodies working with communities through place-based initiatives.

The team used Cross-Pollination to help participants share information and explore how they can align projects and resources to extend the impact and reach of their work through collaborative projects and action. 

A variety of ideas for joined projects emerged for example around supporting communities and citizens to lead placemaking initiatives, sharing knowledge and resources, and showcasing success stories to highlight the benefits of collaboration.
