The project aims to explore how mathematical modelling and game theory can help understand the formation and adherence to international environmental agreements (IEAs) by governments and nations. Develop a mathematical model with psychological metrics that can be further developed to promote more effective environmental policies.

A joint project between The Open University and the University of Bath, collaborators:

Dr Neal Hinvest. Neuro Economist

Dr Richard Fairchild, Behavioural Economics

The project aims to model the behaviour of governments and intergovernmental organisations in a way which gives NGOs the opportunity and toolkit to influence these organisations.

What is an Evidence Café?

  • An opportunity to share our findings so far and discussed with NGO representatives to share ideas as to how we can make more applicable and gather insights.
  • An iformal event to share ideas between stakeholders in a relaxed environment.
  • An opportunity to benefit from peer-to-peer learning and networking with like-minded colleagues in a relaxed environment. Enabling the sharing of ideas, hurdles and opportunities.
  • Open to anyone to which it is of interest to anybody who is interested in environmental risk, not only those who are employed by NGOs.
