This presentation will look at the different expectations and experiences between people with learning disabilities and the staff that support them within Redbridge day care and supported living.
Service users will discuss their relationships with staff: the interaction, shared experiences and the personal qualities of staff which have been deemed to be positive and detrimental, whilst exploring the difficulties and emotions faced when staff leave.
Can relationships continue after staff leave?
There will be various vignettes from both service users and staff, what are the similarities and differences and have these changed over time?
The presentation will be in an accessible multi media format.
