Google Scholar can be used to search for scholarly literature on the internet, including journal articles, books, conference papers, and theses. It's particularly useful for finding grey literature and official reports. Keep in mind that your results may not provide access to the full text, and that some subject areas may have better coverage than others. To make sure you don’t miss any important academic literature for your research, it's recommended you use the OU Library together with Google Scholar.
You can connect Google Scholar to the OU Library, providing you direct access to our resources.
Now when you search Google Scholar you may see a 'Find it at OU’ link next to articles in your search results. Clicking on this link will take you to the full text if the Library has a subscription to it.
You can also use the Google Scholar settings web page to set up importing references from Google Scholar into Bibliographic Management tools.
