Relaxed: Introduction to Library Services

How do I attend?

Go to Relaxed tutorial: Introduction to Library Services and select 'Join Room' located at the bottom of the page. The room remains closed until the trainer has entered – this will usually be 15 minutes before the start time.

Benefits

A great 45-minute interactive session that will introduce the OU Library.  You will learn about the online library, how to find help and support, and how to access key services to help with your studies or work at the OU.

Who's it for?

Any OU member (staff or student) who would like an introduction to the OU Library.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this session you should be able to:

  • confidently navigate the library website.
  • access resources relevant to your study.
  • access help and support provided by the library.

What can I expect from a ‘Relaxed’ tutorial?

The content for this tutorial is the same as the Introduction to Library Services tutorial. Here’s what to expect in a Relaxed tutorial:

  • Planned breaks throughout for questions, support and comfort
  • Tutorials not recorded
  • Flexibility in how you participate – use the chat, mic or just observe as you prefer
  • Not be asked to switch on your webcam
  • Not be put on the spot, or called upon by name
  • Not be put into a breakout room
  • All polls are anonymous
  • Leave and join the session whenever you need to
