Genetics Research Awareness via Community Engagement
Wednesday 11 September, 10:30 am to 5 pm: the British Science Festival in London, at the University of East London (UEL) Docklands Square Stretch Tent.
Join The Open University’s GRACE project, Breaking Down Barriers, and the NHS Central & South Genomic Medicine Alliance in a creative workshop designed to explore the diversity that sustains the Tree of Life.
Who we are, and how our lives unfold, is shaped by our heritage, genetics, environment, and our choices. New discoveries are improving our lives every day, and it is critical that our science represents who we are and serves us all equally.
Join our event to help shape such a world – add your contribution to the growing artwork embodying the evolving, diverse, and flourishing tree of life!
We also ran another public engagement event earlier this year:
Saturday 13 July, 1 pm to 6 pm: Art in the Park 2024, hosted by the Milton Keynes Islamic Arts & Culture (MKIAC) in Milton Keynes, at the Campbell Park Events Plateau.
We are currently conducting some research on attitudes towards genetic testing, via a short 3-5 minute survey.
We welcome anyone who would like to take part.
