Tales from the Quadrat is a new blog by EEES Ecosystems PhD student Vicky Bowskill.
The blog will feature content inspired by Vicky’s research into the sustainable management of floodplain meadows for agriculture and biodiversity.
“I plan to post new content monthly,” Vicky says, “as a way of sharing the cool stories and knowledge that I’m discovering during my PhD adventures.
There will be a mix of written blogs, short videos and maybe even some illustrations and guest posts later on – I’m just going to have fun with it.”
Vicky joined the school as a full-time research student in October 2019 after completing a part time BSc (Hons) Environmental Sciences with the Open University between 2012 and 2018.
During her undergraduate years she also worked full time in volunteer management with the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management, based at their offices in Winchester.
Based within the Open University School of Environment, Earth and Ecosystem Sciences, Vicky is supported by the Floodplain Meadows Partnership and funded by CENTA.
