The Awards and Aftercare team, within Open University Validation Partnerships (OUVP), are able to provide certain services to students who have gained a CNAA or Open University (OU) validated award, as well as to third parties seeking award verification. CNAA Students

The Council for National Academic Awards (CNAA) was a UK degree-awarding body, operating from 1965-1992. When the CNAA was abolished, the OU was authorised to have care and custody of their award records. Click here for an email, letter or pro forma (certificate-style document) verifying your CNAA award.

Third Parties

For organisations or companies seeking verification of a CNAA or OU validated award.

OU Validated Awards - Duplicate Certificates

Through its Royal Charter, since 1992 the OU has validated the programmes of approved partner institutions that do not have their own degree-awarding powers, or alternatively wish to offer OU validated awards. Click here for a duplicate certificate of an OU validated award.
