Exploring a relational account of third sector leadership

Dr Rob Macmillan from the Third Sector Research Centre at the University of Birmingham joined the latest event from the Centre for Voluntary Sector Leadership. His presentation seeks to develop a relational, field-based conception of leadership.

Smaller charities top the list for consumer trust

Small and local community charities are second only to doctors on a list of the professions and organisations most trusted by UK consumers, according to research conducted by the Centre for Voluntary Sector Leadership.

CVSL launches free leadership courses

The Centre for Voluntary Sector Leadership has launched two free online interactive courses. 'Introducing leadership in voluntary organisations' and 'Collaborative leadership in voluntary organisations' are aimed at people who work within voluntary organisations.

CVSL is recruiting!

We are advertising a vacancy for a Research Fellow at the Centre for Voluntary Sector Leadership in The Open University Business School. The post is fixed-term until 31 October 2018. The closing date for applications is 10 November 2016.

The Centre for Voluntary Sector Leadership launches

The official launch and inaugural conference of The Open University Business School's Centre for Voluntary Sector Leadership took place on 12 October 2016 in London. Over eighty practitioners and representatives from across the Voluntary Sector joined the event.

Success for the Centre for Voluntary Sector Leadership

We are pleased to announce that we have received new funding for two projects which will add to the core work of the Centre for Voluntary Sector Leadership in the OU's Faculty of Business and Law. Both projects will commence in autumn 2016.

Centre of Excellence for Voluntary Sector Leadership

The OU Business School has launched its first free online course as part of the newly established Centre for Voluntary Sector Leadership. The philanthropically funded centre will become a primary resource for voluntary sector organisations.
