The property was newly constructed in 2006 with fully accessible raised floors and full air conditioning. It is located in Cardiff City Centre.  The main rail and bus terminals are close by. The University occupied the property from 12 March 2007. Unison occupies the adjoining building.

The Cardiff ShowHome now occupies the adjoining ground floor office space which provides an agile environment that aids collaborative work and enhances the hybird working model. The ShowHome has been named 'Solva' after the Welsh Village community in Pembrokeshire, Wales.
