Doing Our Bit...

Effective waste and resource management is key to the university’s commitment to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions from all other indirect emissions no later than 2050.

Everyone working in or visiting any of the University’s locations, across the four nations, has a role to play to ensuring waste created is dealt with correctly.

Our targets are:

• maintain zero waste to landfill for office/non-hazardous waste.
• increase recycling rate to 90% of all waste by 2027.
• eliminate avoidable single use plastic by 2030.
