Public understanding of law

Open University law students, under the supervision of Law School academics, provide both face-to-face and online sessions with schools, prisons and community groups on specific legal topics to help people understand their rights.



Information on getting involved with pro bono work, gaining legal work experience within a law centre or charity, a legal career with a charity or legal aid firm, or a social justice placement.

W360: Justice in action

Open University law students can choose to take our Justice in Action (W360) module which involves undertaking a variety of Open Justice activities, as well as studying key underlying themes relating to social justice, professional identity and ethics and values.
