e2v has over 30 years’ experience in designing, manufacturing and delivering supply chain management against high performance imaging requirements, including CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor), CCD (Charge Coupled Device) and EMCCD (Electron Multiplying CCD) imaging sensors, arrays and cameras; operating across the electromagnetic spectrum from x-ray, through ultraviolet and visible light, to near infrared.
Delivered between 1997 and 1999, e2v has supplied imaging devices for six of Rosetta's instruments. The navigation camera uses a 1 MPixel CCD47-20 whilst both the OSIRIS wide and narrow field cameras use the 4.2 MPixel CCD42-40. The VIRTIS-M instrument on the orbiter uses the 1MPixel TH7896 with spectral three filters whilst on the Philae lander both ROLIS and CIVA use the 1MPixel TH7888 in their microcameras.
