SciSys is heavily involved in developing software systems for the ground control of the Rosetta spacecraft. The system developed, using the SCOS 2000 software, is designed to deal with high data rates and long transmission delays.

The company has also supported the development of the flight dynamics systems including the orbit determinations and the optical navigation systems for asteroid flybys and the final approach to comet 67P. There has also been personnel assistance, with SciSys engineers present in the flight control team, supporting instruments such as MIDAS, and training the mission control team.

The support is ongoing. SciSys engineers were on site during the Rosetta wake up to provide support for the mission control system and will be present during the final approach to the comet and the landing of Philae.
