Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing

We are group of researchers in artificial intelligence, machine learning and natural language processing. We focus on algorithms for natural language generation and meaning extraction from natural language and other forms of communication (including music and gestures). We also apply machine learning to a wide variety of other data (e.g. from astronomy and human behaviour) to extract information.

The group is highly interdisciplinary, having a long history of collaboration with other disciplines from software engineering and cognitive science to musicology and astronomy.
