Policy makers and NGOs have been working in innovative ways to enhance the contributions that migration makes to national development in Africa. In analysing the effects of these policies MIAG considers the causal links between policy and well-being outcomes. But we also want to work with policy-makers, migrants, and civil society actors to directly shape the actions that can enhance migration’s impact on inclusive growth (IG).
- For journalists we will offer training to strengthen their ability to report on migration issues.
- For African officials we will develop an online training course to develop their data analysis skills.
- For national and international policy makers we will publish a report on best practice policies for enhancing migration’s contribution to IG.
- For migration researchers and policy makers we have developed an online course that gives a basic introduction to evidence cafes for migration research and policy.
