We were delighted to have Dr Felix Kwihangana as our keynote speaker at the 2024 Festival of Scholarship. Dr Felix Kwihangana is a Doctor of Philosophy, Preservice language teachers’ digital teacher identity development in an under-resourced context at the University of Manchester (UOM).
Felix’s teaching and research focuses on the use of digital technologies in teaching, learning and teacher education, especially in under-resourced contexts. Felix also has an interest in how educational policies and their implementation shape technology-mediated educational provisions in their contexts. Felix is currently pursuing a growing interest in how pervasive AI in education may affect efforts to address existing digital inequity and inequality in different educational settings.
Before joining the University of Manchester, Felix was a lecturer in English and Communication skills. As well as an in-service and pre-service teacher educator and teacher-trainer in Rwanda. Felix has also previously served as a Senior Tutor in Digital Education and a Programme Director for the MA DTCE-Distance Learning. And was also a Commonwealth scholar at the University of Manchester between 2017-2020.
