Congratulations to James Tuite for receiving an LMS Early Career Fellowship, for winning the AOUG Baroness Lee of Asheridge Award for Maths, Computing and Technology, and for securing a Research Associate position in Mathematical Sciences at the Open University.
James was awarded a London Mathematical Society Early Career Fellowship hosted jointly between the Alfred Renyi Institute in Budapest and the Open University. The position lasts from April 2021 to August 2021.
In July 2021, James won the Association of Open University Graduates Baroness Lee of Asheridge Award for Maths, Computing and Technology for his PhD research in extremal graph theory, on the degree/diameter problem, the degree/girth problem, and Turán problems.
Also in July 2021, James secured a one-year Research Associate position in Mathematical Sciences at the Open University funded by the EPSRC which will begin in October 2021.
