We offer several schemes that may be of interest to students looking to take part in a supervised research project with an experienced researcher from the School of Mathematics & Statistics.

This scheme is open to applications from Open University students who are due to have completed Level 2 of their studies by the start of the summer in which their project will take place. Projects can be conducted full time or part times, and last up to 8 weeks (16 weeks if part time). Students can decide to take part in-person, fully online, or a mixture of the two. Successful applicants will receive a bursary of approxmately £1000 to support their studies during the summer.

This scheme is open to all UK undgraduate students, including those enrolled at other universities. Projects can be conducted full time or part times, and last up to 10 weeks (20 weeks if part time). Students can decide to take part in-person, fully online, or a mixture of the two. Successful applicants will receive an employment contract for the duration of the project and be paid at the standard Open University internship rate.

This scheme is open to Year 12 students studying in Bedfordshire or Buckinghamshire. Projects are full-time and take place in person at the Open University, Walton Hall campus in Milton Keynes. Successful applicants will receive a bursary to cover reasonable travel costs and expenses.
