Summary: Two sisters. The elder one marries, After several years of childlessness, and seeing the husband’s plans to get the chieftaincy title threatened by his having no son, she pushes her younger sister to marry him and become her co-wife. Shortly after the marriage ceremony, the two wives get pregnant at the same time. This is the start of a life of misery for the younger sister. An exposition of problems created by polygamy and the demands of local politics. Film located in Enugu.

Summary: the tales of woe of a woman whose husband is always absent. Her husband finds her in the arms of the houseboy and curses her. The curse leads her to a life of misery as each of her successive husbands dies within a year of marriage. She ends up in hospital with an unborn baby, unable to ever deliver.
