Cleaning

The Cleaning & Waste Services team are responsible for managing:

• The contract cleaning for Walton Hall and all Locations & Nations.
• Waste services across all OU sites.
• Washroom services across all OU sites.

General office cleaning will be done fortnightly, however these services can differ in frequency based on requirements. Washrooms, kitchens and entrances are cleaned daily. Ad hoc cleaning requests for spillages and one off cleans can be made via estates-liaison@open.ac.uk.

Waste disposal areas can be found in the kitchens and in the waste collection points which will both be emptied by the cleaning team. All small waste should be taken to the relevant kitchen bins, and larger cardboard waste should be broken down and placed in the waste collection points. The Open University do not supply smaller waste bins at desks, all waste has to be disposed of in centrally located kitchen bins.
